My main inspiration to participate in ADACEA is because my son Xavier, who suffered acquired brain damage, received tremendous aids from the association, both physically and mentally, which helped him to live a life as normal as possible, inspite of his limitations. I greatly admire the members of the committee, who are all wives, mothers. parents of affected persons, who maintain a brave, constructive attitude to face all the difficulties they encounter. ADACEA was founded 10 years ago as an association to help specific needs of patients and their families affected by brain damage as a result of traffic accidents, brain hemorrages, ictus, due to lack of oxygen reaching the brain. These patients have lived a "normal" life and suddenly everything changes for them and their families.
ADACEA offers the possibility, after initial hospital treatment has ended, of physiotherapy, logotherapy and psychotherapy, in individual and group classes. The aim is to restore their lives to as nearly normal as possible. Our logo is "A saved life is worth living".
