Just Hiking! Font Roja Natural Park!

The non-profit association No More Walking together with SOLCIR, is organising

a hike in Font Roja Natural Park on May 27th to support unaccompanied minors

in Greece!

Enjoy a morning of hiking and following picnic surrounded by nature and stunning views, meeting people and getting to know some of the volunteers who have experienced the refugee camps in Greece and who are very committed and involved in raising funds for this project. We will walk 8 km on comfortable trails, suitable for everyone, and climb the Menejador Summit.

When? Saturday May 27th, 2017, at 10:00 a.m.

Where? We will meet at Font Roja’s Sanctuary, near Alcoy, where you can also find the Visitor’s Centre, parking spaces, toilets and a restaurant. Click here to see how to get there.

Why? They are the reason behind this hike: the 2.300 children who are currently living in the streets and in refugee camps in Greece, and who have lost their families in their home countries or during their dangerous journey towards Europe. Last year No More Walking financed an innovative program of the Greek NGO METAdrasi who managed to bring 5 minors to Portugal, where they have been provided with a safe environment to grow up in. Our goal is to help many more children who are waiting for someone to give them a chance in life, and financing the lives of those who are already in Portugal. Help us to help them find their path in life!
