Still in shock and full of emotion we are writing this Solcir passion portrait for Christelle, because she is no longer with us

The first thing you noticed and every time you would meet Christelle was her big smile, so beautiful and serene, always accompanied with her sunny voice.

Soon after you would notice her big heart, always helping others. Before Solcir was created she was already organising an Intermon Oxfam stand selling fair trade products in the office twice a year. Since beginning of SOLCIR in 2010 Christelle supported Colores de Calcuta organising lunch conferences with Maria de Muns. During every year’s Solidarity Christmas market she was amongst others in the Colores de Calcuta stand selling home-made jam & cakes, and handing out sweet, inspirational messages. Furthermore, she was an enthusiast organiser and great cake baker for Cake markets and Solidary champagne and piano concerts. A few years ago she spent her holidays volunteering in Calcutta. Three years ago during the Solidarity Christmas market she met people from Reaccion Solidaria and she started helping handing out food to the homeless and families in need, inspiring colleagues to do the same.

I remember several months ago she came to me all sunny as ever: ā€œGoedemorgen Caroline, …Sabes… estoy tan feliz… tengo una idea estupenda….anoche pensé…que piensas si preguntamos a Maria de Muns de venir otra vez a hacer una conferencia, tan bonita como hace aƱos …crees que en otoƱo seria buen momento?ā€

Simply irresistible. And so the answer is yes, Christelle, we will continue in your spirit and therefore are collecting money in your name for Colores de Calcuta and I promise we will invite Maria de Muns to come and speak.

Thank you, Christelle, for all your help and beautiful moments and for your big inspiration to be kind and compassionate.
